Portfolio: Climate Policy and Outreach
Purpose of the grant: To promote and strengthen the climate debate in Brazil through the launch of climate action plans of the C40 cities in the country: Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Curitiba and Salvador. The plans are developed by cities, with technical assistance from the C40 Climate Action Planning Programme in Latin America. The project is carried out through 2 components: support the completion of the plans’ text and design, and develop a communication strategy to launch the plans.

Purpose of the grant: To contribute to the decarbonization of the buses and better air quality in Brazil. It is proposed to continue with the support to SpTrans looking at managing the fleet renovation, incorporating a financial tool at the mechanism already developed. The grant too will support maintaining the Air Quality Platform, the only place, which organizes the state's air quality information in Brazil.
